Helping our members and reaching out to others in our community and world is very important to St. John’s.  Our church houses the House of Hope Food Pantry which is supported by our members and our community.  In addition, members of St. John’s are a part of the House of Hope Board which supports the ministries of the Food Pantry, Resale Store, Transitional Apartments and Hope Counseling Services.

During the season of Lent, the children of our Sunday School Program collect funds for the ELCA Global Barnyard Ministry.  These funds help purchase animals for families in third-world countries.

Members of St. John’s share their gifts through knitting Prayer Shawls and sewing Quilts for Lutheran World Relief.  This past year, members also made pillowcase dresses for little girls in Haiti.

Another area of Outreach is assisting with Worship Services at Pine Manor, which are held once a month.
